ATTENTION: There is a newer version of Save the Children’s Child Safeguarding Policy.

Save the Children recognises that the abuse and exploitation of children happens in all countries and societies across the world. Child abuse is never acceptable and a commitment to children’s rights in general also means a commitment to safeguard the children with whom Save the Children is in contact. ‘Save the Children’s Child Safeguarding Policy: Rules for Keeping Children Safe’, outlines a clear set of behaviours when dealing with children, which is binding on all Save the Children staff. These rules describe the positive approach to work with children, but also contain details of conduct that is deemed inappropriate and unacceptable.
