Violence and discrimination are part of everyday life for young LGBTQ people in South Africa. But 17-year-old Kim has decided – no one should tell her how to live her life. In this episode of Save the Children Documentary we follow Kim from Johannesburg for a year. From when she decides to go to the Pride Parade in Johannesburg for the first time until she meets the love of her life, Surprise. But living openly is a constant struggle against prejudice and threats of violence.
