Since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic in early 2020, the Government of Bangladesh initiated a full-fledged effort to control the spread and transmission of the virus, through its Bangladesh Preparedness and Response Plan (BPRP). Bangladesh has a well-structured community health system with experience of successes in achieving public health goals. In collaboration with development partners and under the framework of the BPRP, the Government of Bangladesh developed the National Community Support Team (CST) Strategy to raise community awareness about COVID-19 and drive behavior change at the community level. This training module was developed for trainers of rural CST community health workers (CHWs), to equip them with the information and skills required to prepare CHWs to achieve the CST intervention goals. This guidance was supported by USAID’s MaMoni Maternal and Newborn Care Strengthening Project (MaMoni MNCSP): Emergency Response to COVID-19 Pandemic.
