Response to the Government of Uganda Country Report on the implementation of The UN Convention on the Rights of the Child

This Alternative Report, presented by The Uganda Child Rights NGO Network (UCRNN) agrees in general that the information presented in the Government report is a fair reflection of the situation of children in Uganda at the time of writing the report (1997). The NGO report comments on the information presented by the Government of Uganda and the gaps in the report concerning child rights in the country. It provides an analysis of the situation highlighting the key issues and problems up to 1997, and includes specific recommendations to enable the State party and child rights NGOs to fulfil their commitments.
