Reproductive, Maternal, Newborn and Child Health Service Delivery during Conflict in Yemen: A case study

At the time of writing, Yemen is one of two countries identified by the United Nations (UN) Inter-Agency Standing Committee as a level three emergency, indicating the need for large-scale response to meet immediate humanitarian needs. The health system in the country is characterized by disparities in coverage, has limited financial protection and struggles with inequitable distribution of resources. However, health sector development initiatives resulted in moderate improvements in the health service coverage and outcomes in the country between 1997 and 2013.

This study examines how reproductive, maternal, newborn, child and adolescent health and nutrition services has been delivered in Yemen.
