Background

Since the onset of cross-border attacks on October 8, 2023, tensions along the Israel-Lebanon border have significantly intensified with nearly 100,000 internally displaced people in Lebanon because of the conflict1. Save the Children in Lebanon has intervened since the first days of the crisis, assessing the needs of the displaced population and providing immediate humanitarian response. These services were funded by several donors including OCHA/LHF, NMFA, UNICEF, DoB, and internal SCL humanitarian funds.

MEAL team has led on a Realtime evaluation to assess what is going well and what needs to be done differently. This evaluation is completed using primary quantitative and qualitative data, as well as relied on secondary data (PDM reports, Quality Benchmark reports, and observations/field visits). The evaluation followed the nine Core Humanitarian Standard on Quality and Accountability (CHS).
