This study seeks to assess the validity of using mobile technology to monitor the provision of community case management by health surveillance assistants (HSAs) in Malawi. To do so, it compares the sensitivity and specificty of the information obtained through mobile phone interviews with HSAs to that obtained through inspection visits.
