Investments should be done throughout a child’s life – from early age to adulthood – for each to achieve full potential. Evidence show that health and education are two sides of the same coin, and investment in one requires simultaneous investment in the other. While quality education is central to children’s development, good health and nutrition are crucial for children and youth to be able to participate and learn in school.

This book shares the latest child-centered evidence showing how well-designed school feeding can promote children’s development, especially as a part of a cost-effective essential package of interventions for school children and youth.
