This case study explores what Collective Impact (CI) looks like in Quitman County, Mississippi—a rural Delta community where the Quitman County Community Impact (QCCI) Coalition aligns and leverages community assets to improve kindergarten readiness and third-grade reading proficiency. Communities like Quitman County demonstrate that, by grounding decisions in local data and community input, it’s possible to build momentum for children and families farthest from opportunity. Save the Children’s support of the coalition shows how locally led, cross-sector collaboration can strengthen early learning systems and advance shared goals for children.
