Orphan Care Evaluation, Mchinji District, Malawi

This report describes the evaluation of Save the Children UK’s work in two villages in Malawi. It focuses on key issues affecting children in those villages, including poverty and loss of parental support. It also documents the community responses and contrasts the two villages in this regard. The observation is made that many of the community responses involve children working instead of going to school.
