This research, undertaken in post-war Liberia, strives to understand the impact of conflict on the lives of young people as they see it, and the social and economic changes they believe war has created for them. It looks at how the socio-economic and political and military environment has affected the way of thinking of children and youth and their understanding of the country’s social organisation. The research reveals how local power structure changes are perceived and how young people place greater emphasis on the importance of money.
