Nourishing the Youngest Common Approach Comprehensive Overview

Nourishing the Youngest is a comprehensive approach to promote, protect and support adequate Infant and Young Child Feeding (IYCF) to ensure that children have the best chances of surviving, growing and developing to their full potential. Adequate infant and young child feeding is critical for child growth and development.

The package includes a detailed description of our approach, target group, key activities, evidence of effectiveness, guidance on adapting for multiple contexts, indicators of quality, and links to relevant resources, guides and tools.

As of 2025, the English version has an updated section on Fidelity of Implementation, and clarifies which indicators are aligned with Save the Children’s Global Indicators. We aim to updated other translated versions soon.
