Save the Children UK
Research by Save the Children UK in Bangladesh, Ethiopia, Myanmar (Burma), Tanzania and the UK shows that poor families can’t afford enough food for their children to grow up healthy. Imagine… You are poor. You live in Bangladesh. Providing your family with a healthy diet costs three times what you can hope to earn in a year. The research shows that up to three quarters of families in some of the poorest places in the world cannot afford enough nutritious food for their children to grow up healthy and strong. Millions of children are condemned to premature death or stunting, and poverty continues from generation to generation.
