Save the Children
In 2016 Save the Children, with support from the IKEA Foundation, has launched a new Child Protection in Emergencies Professional Development Programme (CPiE PDP), designed to enhance the skills, knowledge and behaviours required of child protection in emergencies response staff.
The 2016 capacity gaps analysis conducted in three regions (East and Southern Africa, Asia Pacific and Middle East and Eastern Europe) tailored the design and planning of the professional development programme in the regions.
In order to update the programme learning outcomes and ensure they were aligned with the updated Child Protection Minimum Standards (CPMS 2019), a follow up Capacity Gaps Analysis was conducted in 2020 in the three Regions. The survey specifically investigated the knowledge and practical experience of CPiE National professionals with 3 to 5 years of experience.
This report outlines the findings of the capacity gap analysis for the Middle East and Eastern Europe Region
