Case Study Series to Showcase how Play has been Integrated into Save the Children Programming
This case study provides examples of how programmes have encouraged play among caregivers. The case studies in this series explores the relationship between play and wellbeing for caregivers, as well as the add-on effects for their children.
While play is critical for children, the benefits of play do not expire at eighteen. Adults, too, gain important life skills and notably improve their wellbeing through engaging in play. When caregivers play, they improve their mood, relieve stress, and build connections with each other. These benefits in turn reinforce the use of positive and playful parenting skills in caregiver-child relationships.
