Disaster Response Dialogue
On November 8 in 2013, the strongest typhoon to ever hit the Philippines made a landfall in Central Philippines, affecting 16 million people. Given the scale of the disaster and the humanitarian impact, domestic authorities and international responders mounted a massive emergency operation. This review provides lessons learned from the ongoing humanitarian response in terms of the cooperation between the Government of the Philippines and international responders.
