Colombia has experienced decades of disaster and armed conflict. This has not only had a profound impact on the Colombian people, but also on the national and local actors who have driven the humanitarian response in the country.
This paper shares the findings of research that explored the perceptions, attitudes, and experiences of a diverse range of national and local humanitarian response organisations in Colombia. It examines the idea of learning from exposure as a way to understand the experiences and ways of working of Colombian organisations.
