The delayed decision to seek emergency maternal care and timely receipt of care after reaching a health facility is most prevalent in rural areas of Bangladesh. Availability of transportation during emergency obstetric and newborn care (EmONC) is one of the contributing factors in accessing quality health care. This brief summarizes USAID’s MaMoni Maternal and Newborn Care Strengthening Project’s (MaMoni MNCSP) support to the Government of Bangladesh to pilot an information and communications technology (ICT)-enabled facilitated referral transport model (FRTM). Dnet, as a technical partner, led innovation under MaMoni MNCSP.
