Lead Like a Girl: Ensuring adolescent girls’ meaningful participation in decision-making processes

Adolescent girls have the right to participate in decision-making for matters that affect their lives and their communities, and nearly every country in the world has committed to delivering on this right. Including adolescent girls’ perspectives in policy decisions will also lead to policies that are more targeted and effective towards addressing their actual needs. This brief shares promising examples of how to institutionalize adolescent girls’ systematic, safe, and meaningful participation in spaces where decisions are made.
