The document analyzes the impact of COVID-19 lockdown measures on girls and women trafficking survivors in Serbia, revealing that the institutional care system failed to meet their specific needs, leading to increased social isolation and vulnerability. It highlights the lack of pluralistic care approaches and the politicization of care, which neglected the survivors’ experiences and pushed them further into marginalization. The study calls for a more inclusive and supportive system that recognizes and addresses the unique challenges faced by trafficking survivors during extreme situations like pandemics.
