The Annual Report provides information about the issues that parents take up in conversations with, and e-mails to, Save the Children Sweden. This report focuses mainly on conversations held with single mothers. The testimonies from these women reveal their sense of loneliness and inadequacy, their inability to cope with excessive workload, economic problems, and the ongoing conflicts with the children’s fathers and the fear of threats and violence. A cross-country research survey was conducted in municipalities with the highest percentage of single-parent families, and it revealed that only 5 out of the 35 surveyed municipalities offered, through local initiatives, some form of assistance for single mothers
