Guide des Coalitions pour un Meilleur Suivi des Droits de l’Enfant

This Guide is developed for all child rights defenders who work relentlessly to promote and protect child rights in West Africa and beyond. It is a result of an initiative of the Union of West African Coalitions on Child Rights (UWAC) to enhance the knowledge and capacity of its member organizations for an effective monitoring of child rights. This Guide aims at harmonizing the process of drafting supplementary reports to different human rights mechanisms and follow-up on the implementation of recommendations forwarded thereafter to States based on good practices in this area of work.

UWAC is a regional coalition of national coalitions in West Africa established in December 2010 with the support of Save the Children and Plan International. Currently UWAC has members in all the 15 member countries of the Economic Commission of West African States (ECOWAS).
