Global Compact for Safe, Orderly and Regular Migration

Refugees and migrants are entitled to universal human rights and fundamental freedoms, which must be respected, protected and fulfilled at all times. However, it should be underlined that migrants and refugees are distinct groups that are governed by separate legal frameworks, and only refugees are entitled to specific international protection as defined by international refugee law.

This document presents the Global Compact for Safe, Orderly and Regular Migration, which refers to migrants and presents a cooperative framework addressing migration in all its dimensions.
