From February to March 2019, CARE USA and ActionAid International undertook a study to examine the issue of gender-based violence (GBV) prevention and response in humanitarian settings under the Global Protection Cluster (GPC). Findings from this study suggest that GBV localization is overall minimal, with low levels of perceived localization across three of the four priority contexts.
These findings suggest that current practices are not sufficient for the meaningful realization of GBV localization.
