Financial Difficulties Faced by Families in 2026

Rädda Barnen, Hyresgästföreningen, Majblomman och Röda Korset har under de senaste åren sett en ökande ekonomisk press, särskilt bland barnfamiljer, som i allt större utsträckning söker olika typer av stöd. Mot bakgrund av denna utveckling har vi för fjärde året i rad tagit fram en undersökning tillsammans med Verian (tidigare Sifo)om barnfamiljers ekonomiska svårigheter. Den här rapporten sammanställer resultaten från årets mätning och avslutas med våra organisationers gemensamma slutsatser och krav på politisk handlingskraft.

In recent years, Save the Children Sweden, the Tenants’ Association, Majblomman, and the Red Cross Sweden have observed increasing financial pressure, particularly among families with children, who are increasingly seeking various forms of support. In light of this trend, we have, for the fourth consecutive year, conducted a survey in collaboration with Verian (formerly Sifo) on the financial difficulties faced by families with children. This report compiles the results from this year’s survey and concludes with our organizations’ joint conclusions and calls for political action.
