Ensamkommande barn -en kartläggning i Sverige

Save the Children Sweden and Svenska Barnläkarföreningen (The Swedish Paediatric Association) have been working for many years with issues involving the situation of asylum-seeking children in Sweden. In order to draw attention to the various needs of these children, a hearing was held at the Swedish Parliament on 24 September 2003 in collaboration with the Parliament’s cross-party group on children. This report documents the outcome of the hearing and aims to disseminate the knowledge and experiences gained from the situation of asylum-seeking children in Sweden. The report highlights the children’s present conditions and should serve as a reference to promote dialogue between ‘child expertise’ and decision-makers.
