Endline Evaluation Report: Collective Impact on Future of Work in Bangladesh Project (2024)

This endline evaluation assesses the outcomes and impact of the Collective Impact on Future of Work in Bangladesh project, implemented by Save the Children in partnership with Phulki and funded by the H&M Foundation. The project aimed to improve child protection, nutrition, early childhood development, and STEM education opportunities for children of women garment workers, while enhancing parenting practices and community-based child protection mechanisms in Savar and Gazipur. Using a mixed-method approach, the study engaged 756 respondents through quantitative surveys and qualitative tools such as FGDs, KIIs, and case studies.

Findings reveal significant improvements in access to child protection services (from 6.8% at baseline to 74.9% at endline), parental knowledge of positive parenting (68.6%), and awareness of nutrition practices (78.9%). Additionally, 71.6% of enrolled children completed STEM courses, and early childhood development scores improved markedly according to CREDI and IDELA assessments. The evaluation highlights strong community engagement, effective multi-stakeholder collaboration, and positive shifts in gender inclusion, while identifying challenges such as limited male caregiver participation and the sustainability of daycare services.

Recommendations focus on scaling STEM education, strengthening case management, and institutionalizing daycare models through policy advocacy and partnerships. The study underscores the project’s contribution to child rights, gender equality, and sustainable development goals.
