This report presents the results of the End Line Early Grade Reading Assessment (EGRA) administered in October 2019 in three governorates of Egypt (Sohag, Beheira, and Assiut) as part of the Literate Village (LV) Project. The EGRA helps measure how well children in the early primary grades are acquiring reading skills, to identify any gaps in their skills, and ultimately to focus on improving performance in these core areas. The results from the regression analyses conducted suggests that students’ intervention status, sex, and home learning interactions are strong predictors of gains in foundational and advanced literacy skills from baseline to End Line.
