The harm caused by medical incidents can be prevented or reduced by improving reporting systems. CUBIC worked with the Global Medical Team and Country Office teams to identify the reasons behind low medical incident reporting among Save the Children health staff in Rwanda and Bangladesh. CUBIC then applied a behavioral science approach to test solutions to address these barriers, with the goal of increasing medical incident reporting rates in Save the Children-run health facilities. Simplifying the reporting process led to an increase in reporting in Rwanda.
