Save the Children
Currently, youth make up the most prominent demographic in Bangladesh. While they are already an active ingredient of the economy, more effective engagement and leadership of this demographic is imperative for achieving the Sustainable Development Goals. They are also an important part of Save the Children’s Every Last Child campaign, that aims to reach even the most disenfranchised children and youth to ensure that they are covered by health, education, protection and social safety services.
To move closer to the campaign goal, Save the Children Bangladesh has undertaken a qualitative study to understand the current “pulse” of Bangladeshi youth. It gauges their views on current interests, social issues, and behavior patterns–the real voice of youth–to incorporate the most relevant issues into the Every Last Child campaign. Youth, who make up 65% of the population, can become real agents of change if mobilized around issues that they care about.
