Comprehensive and Non-Discriminatory Online Incident Case Management Training Curriculum (Thailand, 2025)

This training curriculum was developed under the SHIELD (Safe from Harm on the Internet through Empowerment, Learning, and Dialogue) Project to strengthen the capacity of school psychologists, guidance teachers, and educators to prevent, identify, respond to, and manage cases of online harm affecting children and adolescents. The curriculum adopts a survivor-centered, trauma-informed, and inclusive approach, equipping participants with the knowledge and practical skills needed to address a wide range of online risks, including cyberbullying, online grooming, sextortion, image-based abuse, doxxing, and deepfakes. Through three integrated learning modules, participants gain an understanding of digital harm, child protection laws and policies, psychological first aid, case management, referral pathways, and coordinated responses within child protection systems. The curriculum further emphasizes disability inclusion, sensitivity to gender and sexual diversity (SOGIES), ethical communication, and collaboration with families, schools, and specialized services. Using participatory learning methods such as case studies, role-play, group discussions, and reflection exercises, the curriculum aims to strengthen professional competencies and foster safe, child-centered, and non-discriminatory responses that protect children’s rights and wellbeing in digital environments.
