This study examines the 2010-2011 school year, which coincides with the implementation of the Right to Education (RTE) act, in Andhra Pradesh.
One theory or premise that this study puts forward is the discontinuity between evidence of school enrolment versus quality of education for the improvement of children’s quality of life. Despite ample evidence to show increased enrolment in school, a universalization of education, there is still the need of completely a quality, primary education. The author suggests a critical need for quality controls and evaluations to ensure that students are receiving a quality education.
This study relies on Young Lives’ data to fill the research gap presented by the aforementioned question.
