Civil Society Organisations’ Complementary Report on the Periodic Report of Zambia on ACRWC 2024

Zambia’s CSOs’ Complementary Report to the African Committee of Experts on the Rights and Welfare of the Child was developed by the National Child Rights Forum (NCRF), a coalition of 21 Civil Society Organizations in Zambia working in the promotion and protection of children’s rights, with financial and technical support from Save the Children Zambia country office. The report is a response to the Zambia state party 2019-2023 Periodic Report on the Implementation of the African Charter on the Rights and Welfare of the Child as submitted to the African Committee of Experts on the Rights and Welfare of the Child. It is based on data collection from 10 provinces of Zambia. It is one of unique African CSO reports that refer to environmental damage affecting children’s rights, in particular the impacts of pollution caused by the mining industry.
