Originally produced in the anthology “A Handbook of Children and Young People’s Participation: Perspectives from theory and practice”, edited by Barry Percy-Smith and Nigel Thomas and published Routledge Taylor and Francis Group, this article is a global thematic evaluation on children’s participation in armed conflict, post-conflict and peace building in Bosnia-Herzegovina, Guatemala, Nepal and Uganda. It reflects on the process and some of this evaluation, which was undertaken over a two-year period with the active involvement of children and young people who are part of existing children’s associations, peace clubs and child clubs.
