This bulletin presents the latest developments made by the Government of Israel in terms of military legislation for children’s rights while in military detention. To supplement this information, key data on child detention in 2013 and 2014 is presented from different sources.

During a dialogue with Israeli authorities, UNICEF presented and reviewed 38 recommendations. These recommendations and current actions are presented in a matrix with an indication of “degree of implementation”. The bulletin presents a broad perspective of the ways in which UNICEF and partners work with different Israeli government and military departments on behalf of children’s rights while in military detention.
