This study focuses on children with diverse Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity/Expression (SOGIE) and employs qualitative methods. Therefore, it does not aim to generalize findings to statistical populations. Rather, the study aims to provide insights into the perspectives of children with diverse SOGIE grounded in the specific environments in which they pursue their schooling and socialization, as well as the perceptions of children with diverse SOGIE prevalent within those environments. The study explores the challenges children with diverse SOGIE encounter in interactions with their student peers, teachers, families, and community members. Child protection mechanisms at schools are also explored in this study.
