All children have the same rights. However, in reality, we all know that the world does not treat everyone the same. We know that some children are treated differently from others. This is a problem that many children experience in their everyday life. Hence, the purpose of this study, conducted by Save the Children Sweden, was to better understand which groups of children are discriminated against in southern Sudan. The study is but a first step in the comprehensive approach by Save the Children Sweden to fight discrimination in southern Sudan. The organisation aims to help strengthen national structures and systems, and elaborate plans and programmes to build awareness of, and support for, children’s rights in the region.
