This report presents the findings of a participatory consultation with 452 displaced children from Zamzam Camp, now residing in Tawila, North Darfur. Conducted by Save the Children in May–June 2025, the assessment captures children’s lived experiences of conflict, displacement, and loss, while amplifying their priorities for recovery.
Children shared urgent calls for the reopening of schools, improved healthcare, protection from violence and abuse, and support for food security and livelihoods. The report highlights the emotional toll of displacement, including grief, fear, and a loss of safety and belonging. Despite these challenges, children offered clear, practical recommendations for rebuilding their lives and communities. Their voices form a compelling roadmap for a child-centered humanitarian response that upholds their rights, dignity, and agency.
