This paper looks at successes and challenges from Plan’s Child-Centred Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) work in Indonesia between 2007 and 2009. With focus on the four most vulnerable areas, the findings show that while Plan’s DRR work is making strides, more work needs to be done to convince adults in society that DRR work is important for community resilience and good development – and that children have a lot to offer as a part of it.
