Childhood challenged. South Africa’s children, HIV/AIDS and the corporate sector. A Toolkit for Action for HIV/AIDS affected children

This toolkit was developed to assist the South African corporate sector to engage more effectively with HIV/AIDS affected children, following Save the Children’s survey with large South African companies of current practice in addressing the issues facing children affected by HIV/AIDS. It is recognised that the practice and examples are drawn mainly from the experience of large companies often operating in urban areas, although where possible rural experiences have been sought. The Toolkit does not include guidance on current national employment practice and legislation – references to these are given in the tool entitled Resources and Contacts. The toolkit is intended for: managers, board members, heads of divisions, shop stewards, shareholders, and pertinent staff members.
