Child protection in emergencies (CPiE) has transformed from an idea in 2000 to a recognized sector and is now considered a professional sector of humanitarian action with its own collection of tools, manuals, methodologies, minimum standards, and core competencies.
This capacity building report for CPiE addresses three core challenges facing the sector in current and coming emergency settings. These challenges are then supported with Capacity Gaps Analysis, Training Mapping Analysis, and Demand Analysis. The findings presented here are intended to aid capacity building within the CPiE sector and while each section is intended to support the recommendations, they can be read and interpreted individually.
