The assessment targeted mainly the administrative and programme staff within the framework of the SCS southern Sudan programme. The overall purpose of this assessment is to determine gaps and identify strengths in SCS’s realisation of children’s rights to participation. More specifically, the aims of the study were to: 1. Determine SCS’s status in promoting children’s participation and establish the current state of affairs, trends and gaps in regard to practice, commitment, skills, knowledge and attitudes among the staff. 2. Identify internal strengths and future opportunities regarding the involvement of children, and, 3. Use the outcome of the study as a basis for future direction in strengthening the organisation and building the capacity of the staff to effectively promote meaningful participation of children in their work.
