Child Budget for 2016-17: Stepping into the era of SDGs for Every Last Child

Bangladesh’s national budget for the fiscal year 2016-17 coincides with the unique transition taking place across the globe. Together with the global community, Save the Children in Bangladesh has decided to take forward their efforts and achievements under the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) by embracing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The budget for FY2016-17 marks our first steps into the SDG era in terms of implementing its promises.

The national budget of Bangladesh is the modality to secure the nation’s long-term aspirations and, as such, it must prioritize the needs of children and seek to ensure children’s rights to survival, development, protection and participation.
