The RISE programme funded by IKEA Foundation aimed at building the organizational capacity of Syrian civil society organizations and their Child Protection programming. It focused on the internal capacity of the organizations themselves as well as their internal structures and staff capacity as well as child protection capacity. The programme allowed each organization the flexibility to tailor the activities to address the organizations own identified capacity needs.
Hurras Network is a well-established organization that implements programs inside Syria and specializes in child protection. It has recently expanded and identified its need to continuously build both its institutional and staff capacity in order to ensure sustainable impact and the quality of its response. After carrying out an organizational assessment, Hurras realized the need for enhancing its management processes within three departments: Human Resources, Information and Data and Security as well as Advocacy and Communications.
This case study explores the impacts of the cooperation between IKEA Foundation and Hurras Network.
