Equity for Children Executive Director, Alberto Minujin and Mildred Ferrer, alumna of the Studley Graduate Program in International Affairs at The New School, co-authored “Assessing Sustainable Development Goals from the standpoint of equity for children”, published July 2016 in the Journal of International and Comparative Social Policy.
The article discusses challenges in implementing equality and fairness for children, taking examples and lessons learnt from the post-2015 agenda debate. The article suggests social accountability processes to achieve lasting Sustainable Development Goal targets. It also provides a methodology for implementing social accountability actions, accompanied by examples on how to mobilize communities and encourage child participation at the local level.
