Alternative Report on Colombia presented to the Children’s Rights Committee

This Alternative Report was submitted by Humanidad Vigente Corporación Jurídica at the 25th Session of the Committee on the Rights of the Child. The report is formatted to include 10 principal areas of concern: The Right to Life and Validity of Economic, Social and Cultural Rights; Children as the Victims of Armed Conflict; Children as the Victims of Displacement; Children on the Street and Social Intolerance; Children as the Victims of Abuse; Juvenile Offenders; Exploitation At Work; Sexual Exploitation; and, Colombian Legislation. The Report concludes with a set of recommendations for the Colombian State to apply the principles of the CRC and rectify the difficult situation of Colombian children.
