This report for the USAID-funded Albarka project, which translates to “realized hope” and “human well-being” in many languages of Mali, discusses formative research conducted in 12 villages across four regions of Mali to understand the complex and diverse factors that influence behaviors around gender equality, nutrition, water, sanitation, and hygiene, agriculture, livelihoods, and resilience. The results of this research will be used to inform an integrated social and behavior change (SBC) strategy for the project.
