Save the Children
Save the Children occupies a distinct space in the humanitarian architecture as the only NGO that co-leads a Cluster at the global level.
Because of the Education Cluster’s unique global co-lead arrangement, actively recognizing – and playing to – the strengths of each lead agency is key to successful co-leadership for UNICEF and Save the Children. This arrangement brings significant opportunities for Save the Children to leverage its added value as a child-focused, civil society organisation, that works across humanitarian and development contexts. This will not only result in more effective and sustainable approaches to coordination but ultimately contribute to better results for children.
This study is accompanied by Country Office Guidance on Education Cluster Leadership.
