World Development Report 2018: Learning to realize education's promise
This report by the World Bank is the first of its kind to be entirely devoted to education. Around the world, there are many obstacles to learning, These challenges, left unattended, stall the development of communities, with far-stretching and long-lasting consequence. Education is a critical factor in human welfare and social development. In a rapidly developing world, it is absolutely paramount that children and youth are equipped with the knowledge and skills to partake in our future economies and societies.
The 2018 World Development Report focuses on four main themes:

2) The Need to Shine a Light on Learning
3) How to Make Schools Work for Learners
4) How to Make Systems Work for Learning
