Workshop Invitation: Ending Legalised Violence Against Children, 17 October 2015

This interactive workshop, to take place at the Parliament of World’s Religions in Salt Lake City, Utah, will discuss global progress and challenges towards ending violent punishment of children in the light of the Parliament theme. The workshop will discuss why prohibition of corporal punishment of children is an essential strategy for ending all forms of violence against children and give examples of action taken by religious leaders and communities. It will draw on the ideas, skills and experiences of participants who will each have an opportunity to identify resource needs and explore opportunities for taking action. The workshop will conclude with a short vigil.
